Meet Dr. Bonnie

Pediatrician, Chef, and Founder — Guiding Families Forward

I am a pediatrician and a chef who believes children benefit from thoughtful exposure to real flavor.

Children deserve steady guidance and experiences with food that feel calm and meaningful.

After more than 30 years in pediatrics – and just as many years collecting cookbooks alongside medical texts – I brought my two passions together to create Nibbles and Sprouts™.

My work sits at the intersection of child development, medicine, and the everyday realities of family life.

I completed specialized training in Culinary Medicine Coaching through the Culinary Health Education Fundamentals (CHEF) Program at Harvard Medical School and the Institute of Lifestyle Medicine at Spaulding Rehabilitation Center.

I also earned my Chef Certificate from Park City Culinary Institute, blending formal culinary training with decades of clinical experience caring for children and families.

As a pediatric culinary medicine specialist, my work centers on guiding families toward calmer, more confident experiences at the table.

Rather than focusing on what children “should” eat, I focus on how they learn to experience food. Taste literacy develops over time, when children feel safe and when parents feel steady and supported in their role.

Research consistently shows that diet quality shapes long-term health. By combining the science of pediatrics with the craft of cooking, I guide families toward confidence, connection, and ease around food – one flavor at a time.
